| Pivot 4 demo: Joining sprites The animation was created starting with a photo (of me). I cut out the body parts using the Gimp 'free selection' tool and pasted them into ms paint. I then loaded the body parts into Pivot as sprites. The handles were then repositioned so that they body parts pivot in the right place. This was done by adding new lines to create new handles and using the origin tool to set the origin at one of the new handles. The old handles were disabled using the static tool. The sprites were then joined to create a fully moveable figure of me. | |

Also this version is not a stable version, then if you encounter any bugs we would be grateful if you report them to us.
Email us at support@pivotanimator.net or using our form in the contact section. Please explain as precisely as possible the actions that lead to the bug. This may include you sending me a piv or stk file that causes the error. Please also send me your error_log.txt file, which can normally be found in your pivot animator program files folder.

Pivot 4.1.2 Beta
The link of Pivot 4 in the download section has been updated (07/01/2013).
The new Beta version includes first bug fixes, and also new languages such as Spanish and Chinese (apart from the English and French already included).

Download Problems - Antivirus Warning
When downloading Pivot 2 or Pivot 4 from pivotanimator.net some of you might encounter problems.
One of the most common problem is that your AntiVirus software warns you that the installer is a virus.This is a false alarm.
In order to solve this you should disable your antivirus before downloading the installer.
For example if your antivirus is Avira you should: find your antivirus icon in the task-bar, right click on it and click on real time protection enable (which should be checked).
Then download the pivot installer, run it (be aware that if you do not want to install offers you might have to click on "decline"). When Pivot is successfully installed, delete the installer.
You can now re-enable your anti-virus and if you like scan your computer for viruses.
If you still encounter some problems with the installation you can fill our survey (Click here to take our survey) which might help to improve our installer.
Bear in mind that Pivot is only compatible with windows.

Pivot 4.1.10 release
This is the first non-beta version of Pivot 4. It will replace Pivot 2 as the new stable version of Pivot Animator. This version is portable, which means you can put it on a flash drive and run it on any computer.
There are several bug fixes and improvements since 4.1.9, including:
- Help menu links to online help files
- Your Piv and Stk file folder stored for faster navigation next time you use Pivot
- Improved Spanish Latin language translation
- Croation language added
- New program icon

Antivirus and Browser warnings
Your web browser (Chrome) or antivirus software may currently complain about the website or download links. These are all false alarms. We assure you that the website and downloads are all safe and contain no viruses. The Pivot installer downloads do contain adware offers for other software, but they are all optional (just click decline or uncheck the boxes) and safe even if you do install something by accident. Very often antivirus software flags downloads as possibly unsafe simply because they can't confirm that they're definitely safe, which is why this is happening. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon and everything will be flagged as safe, but if you have difficulty installing Pivot then please try a different browser or add an exception for this site and the download links. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Pivot v4.2.3 beta is now ready for download
This includes a few bug fixes and uses a more reliable installer. Please contact support@pivotanimator.net if you find any problems.
Changes since v4.2.2:
FIXED Timestamps don't take repeated frames into account. Moved from timeline frame hint to frame label hint.
DONE Keep same figure selected when changing frame if it still exists. Last figure selected only. Not multi-selected figures.
FIXED Select multiple frames with same background and change background and remove background, then click on frame. Error.
FIXED Error when loading single colour sprite. Will now also load as opaque rather than invisible.
FIXED Scaled up sprites not sub-pixel correct when rotated. Piv files from previous versions may appear slightly different.
